Goodbye to the long hair

Image
only me it just seemed like she was forced to get a haircut? She sits there on the chair wrapped in a cape, taken from her control of her hair.  The hair stylist collects her hair with a bit of force, yet now the hair stylist can do whatever she wants .. control in her own hands. She turns on the clipper and in a moment her hair will take up places on the hair salon floor.  When she hears the clipper's head she smiles a bit, maybe stressfully but when she realizes that now her hair will be thrown on the floor she immediately changes her facial expression She looks at herself in the mirror while the hair stylist shaves her hair ... The hair stylist does it a bit forcefully, she shaves her hair and throws it on the floor ... The client seems to be deep in thought and keeps herself from crying ... Haircut is not  A shirt that can be changed if you do not like it, she will have to live with this hairstyle for a long time ... Those minutes the clipper shaves her hair feels like an eter

Less than an hour apart from her long hair ...

Gianni Loda at the Framesi International congress, cutting hair on stage. This is an amazing on stage hair cutting performance with a truly professional model who gives the impression that she enjoys going from long hair to pixie-short in two stages.    At first, Gianni transforms her long hair into a modern neck-length shag. Then she returns to the cutting chair, gets caped again and only minutes later she's the proud wearer of a pixie with marvelous long. The truth is, I'm watching the video and stressed for her.  Less than an hour and he separates her from her long hair ... Would you like to replace it?

I Told My Hairstylist to "Surprise Me"—Here's What Happened

Image
In 2015, I apparently had a bit of a hair-related existential crisis. I say "apparently," because I didn't even realize how short my attention span was until reflecting back now: I kicked January off with long, chestnut-brown waves, before opting for glistening babylights in February. In March, I got Jane Birkin bangs, before deciding to grow them out three weeks later. May: a grown-in, dirty blonde. June: a few notches lighter. August: some choppy layers to help alleviate the grown-out bang situation. September: blue. October: dark brown again, to cover up the residual blue.  I decided at this point that I really didn't need to spend one more second of time at the salon that year, but my hair didn't get the memo that transformation time was over. My chronic indecisiveness had led to straw-like texture and a huge breakage problem, and suddenly my waist-length mane began shortening itself, finally settling a couple of inches below my shoulders at the beginning of t

One Woman Reveals What It's Really Like to Have a Buzz Cut

Image
The buzz cut is no longer exclusive to the bold and daring among us. TBH, it's one of the most talked-about haircuts...and for good reason. It feels like every week another celebrity is stepping out with a shaved head. From Kristen Stewart's peroxide blonde rendition to KeKe Palmer's lilac buzz, move over pixie, buzz cuts are having a major moment. It's the unlikely haircut that we are obsessing over, but what's it really like to have a buzz cut? To get the lowdown, we put that question (and a whole lot more) to model Cajsa Wessberg (pictured above). She's had a buzz cut for a while now and let us in on what made her do it, what it's really like (besides being cold!) and how people treat her now she has a shaved head. Plus, keep scrolling for expert tips from Roi Nadin, head stylist at George Northwood, on who it suits best and how to prep your scalp for a shaved head (because flaky skin is a no-no). Lastly, check out our gallery of celebrity women who have

6 reasons why getting a haircut is really the worst hour for women

Image
It's that time of the year again: haircut time. This is the worst day of any female's year, and if you say you look forward to a haircut, you must have mid-back-length hair -- and because of that, I can't stand you. Getting a haircut brings its own unique set of anxieties that no amount of weed inhalation or anti-anxiety medication can eliminate. You know you aren't even going to begin to accept your new look for a couple of weeks because that's really when it starts to settle in. Getting a haircut is just one paradox I can't seem to wrap my mind around. Please, someone just explain to me why I need to get a haircut in order for my it to grow. I get that you have to get rid of the dead ends so your hair will grow, but your it grows from the roots, not the ends! This makes no sense to me whatsoever, but alas this is one of life's mysteries that females must accept. But why does this appointment give your annual gyno appointment a run for its money

"Rachel" is the worst haircut I have done

Image
Once upon a time there were laws of beauty, do's and don'ts, and I'll do-what-she-will-cut. One generation of Xer (and Allure graduate), Patricia Tortolani, reflects how her journey to the beauty self really only began after she met "Rachel". Arguably, the biggest mistake I made during my senior year of high school was stealing Mr. Baron's Jaguar XJ6 from the garage so Natalia and I could get to South Beach with fake IDs we had just purchased.  The second biggest mistake: cut out all my hair to get into character adventure. You see, Miami in the mid-90s was a city on the verge of super-cool. There were cosmos and california rolls from the inside out, special camel lights to consume and nightclubs to sneak into. And if you were an irresponsible teenager, a cheater, not always entitled with the moxie to steal your best friend's dad's car to go out for Ocean Drive sushi hoping to peek at Stephen Dorf or Matt Dillon, you're going to do it in record

Why are women afraid to get a haircut? part 2

Image
Alongside those who visit the hairdresser once a week, there are also girls who have not touched hair since the age of 5. What is our part with long hair, and why are we so anxious from the day someone approaches it with scissors? Similar to the wedding fantasy, long flowing hair is also a kind of bug in the system for every little girl. Something in this length, in abundance, in the hair that "reaches up to the tusk" helps us to feel much more feminine and desirable. Even today, when so many celebrities walk around with cropped and so chic hair, many women and men really do not feel it does it for them. It turns out that quite a few girls who have not had a haircut for years walk around among us, and they devoutly cultivate long, long hair that often becomes formless and characterless. So what's our story? Why are we so afraid to get a haircut? A visit to the salon is scarier than a visit to the gynecologist  When it comes to hair, we are clearly divided into two po

Why are some women afraid to get a haircut?

Princess Rapunzel's golden blonde hair (70 feet, to be exact) in the new Disney edition is intricately and legendarily intricately tangled (perhaps this is because we know it will eventually help her score a fiery prince). But in real life, lower back hair does not have the same effect at all. I recently watched a woman in a restaurant proudly waving her long straight hair as she walked. I could not help but think to myself, "Why is she not getting a haircut? She can not think it looks good." Maybe I should have taken care of my business ... but instead, I asked New York clinical psychologist Vivian Diller, author of Dealing with It: What Women Really feel when their appearance changes, to shed insight into why some women are petrified from cutting their hair. (And to clarify: I myself am a long-haired girl and love that my stylist obeys the half-inch cutting requests.) "Some women see their hair as an aspect of their identity," Diller explained. "It&

For every woman who has ever thought "I should totally get me a fringe".... and regretted it.

Image
I saw a photo of Alexa Chung in a magazine while mooching about in leggings and one of those breastfeeding tops that are a great idea but not very fashion forward. She has a fringe, that Alexa Chung, and green eyes and brown hair. She’s very thin. I have no fringe, brown eyes, blonde hair (dyed) and a wobbly just-had-a-baby paunch. At the time, I hadn’t showered in about three days and was existing largely on fried goods. I took a photo of myself on my phone, examined it closely and thought, ‘You know what? I would probably look as good as Alexa if not for this side part.’ Ergo: I should totally get me a fringe. Yes. A fringe. So I booked a time at a hairdressing salon I found reviews of online. Five stars, four and a half stars, so many stars. Only criticism was it was a bit expensive but how much could a cut cost?, I thought. ‘And you’ll look just like me,’ encouraged Alexa, folded carefully and tucked into the side pocket of my handbag. On the day, I was pumped. I fed the baby and h

I Spent 24 Hours Watching Women Get Short Haircuts & It Changed The Way I Think About Hair

Abrunette with hair past her shoulders walks in, speaks to the front desk, and takes a seat next to me in the designated waiting area. To our right, a row of four chairs occupied by other customers are lined with tables, each of them scattered with scissors, razors, hair dryers and other shiny metal tools of various sizes and shapes. Each chair is being tended to by a woman. When one of the chairs finally opens, the barber calls the brunette next to me over. Once seated and wrapped with a plain black cape, she’s asked what she wants for today. “I want to go short,” she says without skipping a beat, the curl of a confident, excited grin tugging at the corner of her lips. “Real short.” The barber smiles widely, the sign of an immediate understanding sparking between them. After ironing out the details and swiping through a few photos on a smartphone, the scissors come out. I watch as each clump of wispy brown strands drops to the floor at her feet. By the end of the appointme

The model found out live that the barber cut her 30 cm from her hair - and reacted very badly

Every woman knows this feeling of helplessness when the book exaggerates a bit with the scissors and dares to do something beyond what he was asked to do. This is also the reason why masses of women were left with their jaws on the floor when a Turkish hair stylist decided, on his own initiative, to cut his model's hair in front of the cameras - leaving her shocked until the moment she could no longer stand it and fainted. This terrible tragedy was broadcast in Turkey as part of the reality show for hairdressers in the style of "Project Runway" - only with books, in which hairdressers compete against each other for the title of the country's book. In the final episode of the "You Are My Hair" program, the book Bilal Agen planned to cut the hair of his model, Ilida, in order to donate it to cancer patients as part of the "Let My Hair Be Your Hair" campaign. Although his intention was good and the model was aware of the campaign, he did not update

Clipper haircut

She is sitting on the chair wrapped in a cape with hair on it that until recently was a part of her.  A stranger took control of her hair from her.  The hair stylist bends her head and moves it to an angle that is comfortable for him and even when he stops she does not move his head from the angle he has chosen for her.  He cuts her hair with a haircut machine that rattles her ears and cuts her hair ... Notice how the hair stylist cuts her hair, with the forcefulness that signifies he controls, her hair is his now! She sits and does not take out her hands what cape, I'm sure the hair cut from her bothers her neck, itchy, but she does not touch it! When her head is bent she does not lift it even when the hairdresser stops, and although she is sure her neck hurts from bending, but she is not  moving because she has not control over her head, as long as she is sitting on the chair wrapped in a cape she does not decide!

Its time to shave her neck

Image
She sits in the chair like a good girl, with a white cape wrapping around her body and reminding her that the hair stylist has taken over her hair.  Her head is bent down, some of her hair is gathered in clips and some is loose. The loose hair will be thrown on the floor in a moment and she will remain shaved with bristles.  Her head bends and at some point her neck starts to ache, but it does not interest the hair stylist, and if she lifts her head the hair stylist will bend her head again ... he turns on the clipper that makes a loud noise, a noise that conveys a feeling that he is eager to shave her hair.  .. the hair stylist starts shaving her hair, the hair is thrown on the floor .. small hairs interfere with her nape ... she sits under pressure but does not move, she knows she is not in control now ... and that's how it should be

Bristles in her new nape✂️

Image
She was sitting on the chair and he wrapped her body with a cape, now she already knows that her hair is in his hands.  He bent her head, combed her hair and gathered some of it with a pin The part that remains scattered will soon make its way to the floor in a hair salon. Her head is bent and the hair stylist takes the clipper to shave her nape. The noise of the clipper is loud and very noisy in her ears, this is the first time she has been pressed.  He starts shaving her hair on the back of her neck, and the clipper makes more noise as he cuts her hair.  Her hair is thrown on the floor in a hair salon, and she suddenly feels part of it separate from her.  She suddenly feels the cold hands of the hair stylist, she feels the bristles left on her nape. It's weird to her, it bothers her, it's a little itchy too, but it's too late to regret it. She would come out of the hair salon knowing that such a beloved part of her was left dropped on the floor in a hair salon.  Her hair.

My short haircut

Image
Lonnie's makeover Before the haircut I will describe the atmosphere in the salon hair. First of all, design a very old hair salon. On the wall in the living room, hair is full of pictures of people who have hairstyled in the hair salon. The pictures are very old and under the picture wall is the waiting area with very old but comfortable chairs Right in front of the waiting area are the hairstyle positions, there are 2 positions, one for the female customers and the other for the men, an old haircut haircut and yuk leather, on the wall of the hairstyle stands are hung with pictures with sentences like: "You do not really know what you need and that's why I'm here To help, "" a smart woman who worries about dealing with a cut more often, "" a brave woman knows that the best massage for her neck and hair is here when the machine works on her hair. "" You're the most radiant when you're organized, so go ahead and bend your head, I'
