Goodbye to the long hair
only me it just seemed like she was forced to get a haircut?
She sits there on the chair wrapped in a cape, taken from her control of her hair. The hair stylist collects her hair with a bit of force, yet now the hair stylist can do whatever she wants .. control in her own hands.
She turns on the clipper and in a moment her hair will take up places on the hair salon floor. When she hears the clipper's head she smiles a bit, maybe stressfully but when she realizes that now her hair will be thrown on the floor she immediately changes her facial expression
She looks at herself in the mirror while the hair stylist shaves her hair ... The hair stylist does it a bit forcefully, she shaves her hair and throws it on the floor ... The client seems to be deep in thought and keeps herself from crying ... Haircut is not A shirt that can be changed if you do not like it, she will have to live with this hairstyle for a long time ...
Those minutes the clipper shaves her hair feels like an eternity to her ... she's frozen in a chair, not moving. She's a bit like the hair stylist's play doll who does what she wants in the client's hair ... but in the end the client is the one who will have to deal with the consequences of the haircut
I imagine that everything that goes through her mind in these moments - "Why did I do that ??"
"Why doesn't she turn off this caliper?"
And when she finally turns off the clipper she relaxes for a moment, but then she realizes that it's not the end yet .. The hair stylist takes scissors and continues to shorten her hair ... Her hair is dropped on the floor and it pinches the heart ...
During all this time that the hair stylist is shortening her hair, she does not smile, her facial expression is not calm ... it seems that she just wants to cry ... Even in the end, when she frustrates the mirror and touches her hair, she looks unhappy ...
In a few minutes she will come out of the hair salon and leave her hair, which she loves so much .. Drop it on the floor .. A woman binds to her hair and when it is no longer part of her it feels a bit like losing an organ in the body ....
And I think the haircut does not really flatter her, she matures her ... if it is already a short haircut then at least she will be in a younger style, no? what do you think?
Oh, it really seems like they forced her to get a haircut ... and hair stylists are guys who like to cut short ...
ReplyDeleteYou're right in saying that hair stylists like to cut short .. but in the end we are also the ones who know what's best for a customer who does not have courage .. we just give her a little push
DeleteThe hair stylist cuts her hair with a bit of force ... it only reinforces the feeling that the client has no control over her hair and right now the hair stylist has taken control of the client's hair into her own hands ... but it's totally a feeling that all veteran hair stylists transmit. When you decide to get a haircut from a veteran hair stylist, you need to know that you are entrusting your hair in their hands ...
ReplyDeleteAnd that's the best decision a woman can make ... that's why we also honestly like to wrap our customers with a cape that conveys a loss of control to them ...
DeleteWow, I can so identify with her. I also had really long hair and I visited a veteran hair stylist who ended up making me a haircut that was to his taste ... short.
ReplyDeleteHe also used a clipper, and I can so feel what she's experiencing in those moments .. the noise of the clipper is stressful and his feeling even more stressful .. and when this is the first haircut they do for me with a clipper it's stressful at all .. I sat frozen in a chair, I cringed.
